Cake in a coffee cup

I found this recipe for cake in a coffee cup in a children's book of all places (Real Mermaids Don't Wear Toe Rings by Helene Bourdreau) and had to try it. I assumed we had everything on the list but as it turns out we've been out of sugar for ages and no one noticed (that tells you how often we've been baking). After a frantic search we unearthed the sugar bowl which still had sugar in it.

This is how you do it-

- find a giant mug
-add 4 tablespoons of flour
-4 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa

mix it well and add
- 1 egg

mix some more and add
-3 tablespoons milk
-3 tablespoons oil

mix it again and add
-3 tablespoons of chocolate chips (this is optional. I did not add these as we didn't have any)
-1 capful of vanilla

mix it one last time

cook for 3 minutes on high

let it cool and then enjoy

Cook's notes: It didn't look like chocolate cake but it tasted like it. Not a bad fix for a late night cake craving.
